Alene Scott (Scotty) Quintyn
August 2, 1926 to May 25, 2015

Our dear cherished mother, grandma and friend Scotty Quintyn has passed with grace from this life with her family at her side every step. In her last days of her almost 89 years Scotty demonstrated humility, determination and love. Scotty was generous to the core, and as mother, grandmother, volunteer, provider and loving partner she made everyone know life is about loving unconditionally, forgiveness and joy.

Married to Elmer for 67years Scotty shone brightly in a union that lived life to the fullest and gave so much to community. Scotty’s star was at its brightest as mother and grandmother to son Douglas (Linda Quintyn), daughter Janet Reid, son Chuck and (Michelle Quintyn) and her grandchildren Chris ( Bonnie), Kari ( Allan), Jason, Justin (Lacee), Jeffery (Brenda), Kathryne Scotty and Carly Jac; and great grandchildren Beau, Ryan, Alivia, Evie and Isla.

Scotty will be remembered for her adventurous spirit and playfulness, always winning as great athlete and game player, and the way she organized, volunteered and convened life ensuring happiness, comfort and safety for her many friends and loved ones, and results for the many causes she embraced.

Scotty’s life will be celebrated with family. Sincere appreciation and thanks is due to the caring people who supported Scotty’s journey at Extendicare these last months.
