With heartfelt sorrow, the family of Andy Jacko announces his passing at Terrace Lodge Nursing Home, Aylmer on Saturday, December 26, 2015 at the age of 85 years. Beloved husband and best friend for 63 years to Madeline (Blizman) Jacko. Loving and caring father to his three children Kathy Pasztor (Bill) of Glen Meyer, Andy J. Jacko (Patsy) of Tillsonburg and Darren Jacko (Michelle) of Tillsonburg. Proud grandfather of Stephen (Heidi), Stacey, Andrew (Lindsay), Melissa (Greg), Tanner and great-grandchildren Alex, Ethan, Blake, Grace and Evelyn. Andy will also be sadly missed by his extended family John and Margaret Vilez and family, George and Judy Fulop and family and Steve and Ann Blizman and family. Predeceased by his parents Andrew and Elizabeth Jacko, his sister Annie Fulop and brother-in-law George Fulop Sr. Andy and Madeline grew tobacco in the Tillsonburg area for many years. Andy had a heart of gold and loved his family more than anything else. In keeping with Andy’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Friends and relatives will be received at Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519) 842-5221 on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. with Parish Prayers at 6:30 p.m. A Memorial Mass for Andy will be held at St. George’s Catholic Church, Courtland on Thursday, December 31, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Father Tom Ferrera officiating. Private family inurnment will be held at a later date at the Tillsonburg Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Terrace Lodge Nursing Home, the Heart and Stroke Foundation, St. Mary’s Catholic Church or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
