Wilford Douglas Dalby (1930 – 2016)
At his home in Tillsonburg on Thursday, May 26, 2016, Wilford Douglas Dalby passed away peacefully at the age of 86 years. Beloved husband of the Late Ethel (Robinson) Dalby. Proud and caring father of Jim Dalby and friend Joanne (Christie) of R.R. # 3 Tillsonburg and Margaret Rose VanDenBrink of Eden. Cherished grandfather of Dwayne VanDenBrink (Serena), Pattie VanDenBrink, Kevin VanDenBrink, Christopher Dalby and great-grandfather of Bailey DeJonge (Willie) and Shelby VanDenBrink. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his grandson Jason Dalby, brothers Bob, Claire and Harold Dalby, sister Margaret Freeman and son-in-law Gerald VanDenBrink. Wilf was a true outdoorsman. He was an avid hunter who loved his time spent with his hunting buddies in the northern atmosphere. Friends and relatives will be received at Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. & 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. where the Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Carl Walters officiating. Cremation to follow with inurnment later in Delmer Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
