Peacefully, at Maple Manor Nursing Home in Tillsonburg on Tuesday, May 31, 2016, Eleanor “Jean” (Holman) Fentie passed away at the age of 83 years. Beloved wife and best friend of Gordon for 64 years. Loving and caring mother of Cheryl Fentie (Leigh Adams) of Mississauga and Leanne Fentie of Tillsonburg. Cherished grandmother of Jared Adams. Dear sister of Marion Mason of Paris and Ruth Harvey (Larry) of R.R. # 4 Langton. Jean is also survived by her sister-in-law Eva Holman of Courtland, her brother-in-law Bob Prouse of Tillsonburg and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sisters Mildred French, Margaret Law, Emily Prouse and brothers Lorne, Clarence, Earl, Bill and Gordon Holman. Jean was an avid gardener, she also enjoyed cooking for her family whom she loved more than anything. Friends and relatives are invited to share memories of Jean at Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) on Saturday, June 4, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the Funeral Service which will be at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Kevin Taylor officiating. Interment to follow in the Delmer Cemetery. Memorial donations to Avondale United Church or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
