John “Douglas” Atchison
Peacefully, in his sleep on Thursday November 17, 2016 at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe, Douglas Atchison of Walsingham passed at the age of 84 years. Beloved husband of the late Margaret (Wheeler) Atchison (2005). Dear father of Ruth Nitschkie (George) of St. Williams, Bryan Atchison (Ena) of Elmira, Jerry Atchison (Sheila) of Walsingham, David Atchison (Madeline) of Norval, and Philip Atchison of Milton. Predeceased by son Billy Atchison (1970) Much loved grandpa to Katy (Brian), Misty (Arron), Christopher, Christine, Lori (Andrew), Jacob, Robin, Darryl, Ashley (Dave) Paul, Kenny (Tanya), Robbie and Michael (Nicole) as well as 14 great grandchildren. Doug will be missed by his brother & sisters, nieces & nephews and his many good friends. Friends and relatives will be received at Ostrander’s Funeral Home Limited, 43 Bidwell St., Tillsonburg, ON (519) 842-5221 on Sunday, November 20, 2016 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Monday, November 21, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment in Fordwich Cemetery at a later date.
