Peacefully, at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital on Friday, January 13, 2017, Wilton Earl Northgraves of Tillsonburg passed away at the age of 87 years. Beloved husband and best friend to Marie for 64 years. Loving father of Carol Culig and her husband Stephen and Peter Northgraves and his wife Karen both of Tillsonburg. Proud grandfather of Katie Rodas and her husband Carlos, Don Culig, Lauren, Abby and Hannah Northgraves and great-grandfather of Sylvie Rodas. Dear brother of Marion Simmons of Waterdown. Wilton will also be missed by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents John and Ruby (Robinson) Northgraves and sisters Ruth Curtis and Bessie Fisher. Wilton was a lifetime Entrepreneur in the Tillsonburg area. His passions included aviation, boating and most of all, his family. Wilton also had a soft spot for cats. He spent many years feeding and caring for several stray cats in Tillsonburg. Friends and relatives will be received at North Broadway Baptist Church, 6 North Street East, Tillsonburg on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 from 11:00 a.m – 1:00 p.m. The Funeral Service for Wilton will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Alan Silvester and Pastor Carl Walters officiating. Interment in the Tillsonburg Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the Northgraves family and may be arranged by contacting Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) who have been entrusted with the arrangements.
