MAATJE “MARG” KEIZER (1922 – 2017)
Peacefully, surrounded by family at St.Thomas-Elgin General Hospital on Monday, February 13, 2017, Maatje “Marg” (DeBoer) Keizer, formerly of Tillsonburg, was called Home to be with her Lord at the age of 94 years. Beloved wife of the Late John Keizer (2000). Loving and caring mother of Rene Wieling (Tim Carnegie) of Tillsonburg, Ray Wieling of Alberta, Don Wieling (Fern) of Alberta, Debbie Fox (Hugh) of Azilda and Tracy Johnston (Blaine) of Alberta. Cherished grandmother of Kim (Tom), Shawn (Jordie), Sierra (Kyle), Greg (Sylvia), Jackie (Darren), Jessica (Zach), Amber, Jaime (Clayton), Brittany (Scott) and 10 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Tina Fokkema of the Netherlands. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brother Dick DeBoer and 2 sisters Ann Fennema and Reintj Ypma. Marg showed tremendous strength and courage in battling her illnesses over the past few years as an example for her family whom she loved very much. Friends and relatives will be received at Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) on Friday, February 17, 2017 from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. The Funeral Service for Marg will be held in Ostrander’s Chapel on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Paul Robinson officiating. Interment to follow in the Tillsonburg Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
