The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Dorothy Williams can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence From: S. Crosby
Condolence: Dear Family, please accept my heartfelt sympathies. My heart goes out to the family. Death is some thing we will never get use to. In fact, God's Word refers to death as an enemy. (1 Corinthians 15:26) It is comforting to know that very soon our loving Heavenly Father will remove death once and for all and give us the opportunity to see our loved ones again here on the earth. www.jw.org

Condolence From: Peg and Joe Bradford
Condolence: We were blessed to have Dorothy as a part of our family during the years she and Joe's dad, Charlie, enjoyed their time together. It is hard to believe that was 30 (or so) years ago. After Charlie's passing, we had many wonderful visits with Dorthy at the McClintock's annual picnics, and, when we'd drop in to see her when we were back in the Tillsonburg area. And the annual Christmas cards kept us up to date with how she was doing. She always wanted to know how our kids, Chris and Jenny, were and what adventures they were involved in. She was always so wonderful to allow herself to be dragged to Charlie's grandchildren's concerts, my family's Christmas dinners, birthday parties, and parades. She was our family's supporter-extrordinerre! She will always be in our hearts which are filled with wonderful memories of "Our Dorthy"! May God bless you all as you celebrate the life of your special...Mom...Grandma...Great Grandma...Sister...Aunt...and...Our Friend. ❤️

Condolence: From our house to yours, from the family of Harry and Mae Manning we wish our cousins the deepest of sympathies on the passing of Dorothy Manning Williams. It is amazing to us that our Aunt Dorothy lived to be 101. From a historical perspective she was born before the end of the first world war, lived through the roaring twenties, lived through the depression of the thirties, the second world war of the forties and went on to celebrate the turn of the century. Aunt Dorothy started out with horses and steam engines for thrashing on the Manning Tobacco farm in Rosanna, moved to Tillsonburg where she married Albert Williams and supported his automobile business. They drove around in a black Cadillac like Marilyn Munroe. I remember Aunt Dorothy as someone who accepted life in a placid fashion who moved on and made the best of things in the face of any adversity. I think she was very intelligent and an independent thinker as well as circumspect about life. Aunt Dorothy always went out of her way to have a kind greeting for me whenever I saw her She is one of the oldest and longest living of the nine Manning children Born to frank and Beulah Manning. Aunt Dorothy will be Sorley missed.

Condolence From: Kim
Condolence: Aunt Dorothy was the fiestiest lady I have ever known. It was always so wonderful to see her at family functions, making her way to and fro in her own car, visiting with everyone she saw. Her smile was reassuring, her resilience, motivating! She will always be a role model for determination for me, and for commitment to her family.
Aunt Dorothy brought out the best in all of us, our dad especially. He showed respect and care toward her; it was nice to see this soft side of dad.
I am grateful to Aunt Dorothy, for the positive influence she had - and will always have - on our family.
Love,
Kim Gadsdon (Jimmy's middle child)

Condolence From: PATRICK MCCLINTOCK
Condolence: So sorry to hear about Aunt Dorothy's passing. I remember Dorothy as a very active senior playing cards with her friends at the senior center. I hope she carried that free spirit through to the rest of her days. She will be missed. My condolences to the family.
