Obituary for Earl Albert Prouse

Earl Albert  Prouse
Peacefully surrounded by his wife, children and grandchildren at his bedside, Earl Albert Prouse, passed away June 29th, 2017 at 6:45am in his 82nd year at Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital. Earl is survived by his wife and best friend of 62 years Leone. Father of his children Richard (1969), Terry and his wife Brenda of Delmer, Susanne and her friend John of Tillsonburg. Dear Papa to Ashley, Brett, Nicholas his friend Loretta and her son Zander, Amber and Kristopher. Earl is survived by his Aunt Lou Topham, nephews Dale, David Prouse and niece Lisha Poch. Also survived by Leone’s extended family. Predeceased by his parents Wray and Olive (Sheperd) Prouse and brothers Carl and Glen. Earl was born August 15, 1935 and grew up on a dairy farm and lived most of his life in Southwest Oxford Township of Oxford county. As a younger man Earl enjoyed getting cars ready for Saturday night racing at local racetracks in Tillsonburg, Nilestown and Delaware. Earl was self-taught in his vocations and his many hobbies, which included woodworking and photography that he undertook with perfection being the final result. Many thanks to Dr. Roth, Dr. Gomez, CCAC Nurse Kristen and the nursing staff of TDMH. Friends and relatives will be received at Ostrander’s Funeral Home Limited, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) on Wednesday, July 5th, 2017 from 2:00 – 4:00 & 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Service for Earl will be celebrated in the Chapel of Ostrander’s Funeral Home Limited on Thursday, July 6th, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. Interment to be held in Mount Elgin Cemetery.
