MARILYN ELIZABETH (MILTON) BAILEY (1936 – 2017)
Peacefully, at Caressant Care Nursing Home, Courtland on Monday, December 11, 2017, Marilyn Elizabeth (Milton) Bailey passed away at the age of 81 years. Marilyn and Karl were the proprietors of Karl’s Town and Country Variety on Oxford St. in Tillsonburg in the late 60’s and early 70’s. In the late 70’s to the mid 80’s one of their greatest achievements was Karl’s Fry Wagons. Marilyn and Karl were not afraid to try anything, from building their own home to building Fry Wagons. Marilyn was the beloved wife and best friend for 52 years to the Late Robert Karl Bailey (2010). Loving and caring mother of Dan Bailey (Lissa) of Kitchener, Robyn Bailey, Chris Bailey (Christine) and Kelly Matthys all of Tillsonburg. Proud grandmother of Scott (Jennifer) and Steven of Kitchener, Kendal (Jason) and Taylor (Cody), Nikki and Logan and Amy (Brandon) all of Tillsonburg and great-granddaughter Grace. Marilyn will also be lovingly remembered by her special friends John and Nancy Byrnes, Jeff and Wendy Blodgett all of Tillsonburg and Ernie and Lori Bradbury of Kingsville. In keeping with Marilyn’s wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends and relatives at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Tillsonburg on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Father Tom Ferrera and Deacon Jack Grim presiding. Inurnment to follow at the Tillsonburg Cemetery.
