Peacefully at his residence with his family by his side, on Saturday, December 23, 2017, Joseph Schneider passed away in his 95th year. Loving husband of Mary Schneider for 48 years. Caring father of Anna (Scott) and Lisa (Ben). Adoring grandfather of Madisun, Gage, Chance, Tyson, Ava, Braden & Connor. Also survived by sister-in-laws Margaret, Susan and Betty, many nieces and nephews and many brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws in Slovakia. Predeceased by sister Elizabeth and brother-in-law Mike, brothers Louis, William, John, brother-in-law Steve and sister-in-law Pat. Friends and relatives will be received at Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) on Thursday, December 28, 2017 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy for Joseph will be held in Ostrander’s Chapel on Friday, December 29, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. Donations in memory of Joseph may be made to The Heart & Stroke Foundation or The Canadian Cancer Society.
