Blake Lynden Moody

On Saturday, April 07, 2018, Blake Lynden Moody, of Tillsonburg passed away at his residence, at the age of 87 years. Blake was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, great great grandfather and friend, who will always be remembered and cherished.

Blake is lovingly survived by his wife and best friend of 68 years Bernice (Mickey) Buchner, his children, Sharon (Tom) Logan; Cindy (Ray) Thompson; and Brian (Marilyn) Moody, his 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren with 1 on the way, and 1 great great grandchild. Blake is also survived by his sister Shirley (Robert) Franklin and his sisters–in- law Eileen and Joan as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. He is predeceased by his parents Dwight and Ruby, brothers Gordon and Gerald.

Blake had many passions in life along with his family. He was the proprietor of Blake Moody Electric for more than 40 years. He was a volunteer Tillsonburg Firefighter, a member of King Hiram Lodge # 78, Tillsonburg, the Tillsonburg Shriners and the Providence Bay Hunt Club (Manitoulin Island) as a social hunter. Blake was a flea market enthusiast, an avid collector of old cars, and enjoyed boating at Long Point.

Although we wish we had more time with Blake, we will cherish all of the amazing memories we have with him.

Cremation has taken place. Visitations will be held at OSTRANDER’S FUNERAL HOME LIMITED, 43 Bidwell St. Tillsonburg, ON (519-842-5221) on Friday, April 13th 2018 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
