Condolence: I was sad to hear of Mark's passing. I had the honour to serve with Mark on the North Wellington Health Care Board during his tenure in Mount Forest. He was a very engaged Director who was not afraid to ask the tough questions or deal with challenging issues. He was always respectful and his sense of humour served him very well. Mark contributed greatly to our community and we will be forever grateful. The world has lost a kind and compassionate man. My sympathies to all of his family and hope your wonderful memories of Mark will give you strength at this time.

Condolence: No words can express your loss. Mark will be remembered by our family as he baptized our grandchildren. At children story time those kids could answer his questions before he got the question out of his mouth. Kept Mark on his toes when they were in church. Lots of laughs. We will keep you in our hearts at this time. Kerry

My deepest sympathies to Bill and all the Ferrier family and with every good blessing as you journey through your loss. Bob Jackson

We enjoyed his sense of humour and as our family usually sat in his direct line of vision at Mount Forest United, we shared many laughs. He always said the hymn "Come in, come in and sit down" was the Harper Family song and we remember him every time we sing it.

Condolence: I am so sorry to hear of Mark's death. I was his Conference Personnel Minister when he served at the Mount Forest pastoral charge. He was never afraid to speak his mind, gave strong leadership (sometimes as the 'loyal opposition') in Bruce presbytery, cared deeply for his congregations and for the United Church of Canada. I am grateful to have known him. I hold his friends, the St. Paul's congregation as well as his family in my prayers. Jenny.

Condolence From: Graham & Connie Desjardins & family
Condolence: To all of Mark's family ... My heart is heavy as I write this. Mark was a big part of the time that our 4 children attended church when he was in our Westmeath Charge. Just recently I contacted him to see how he was doing but did not hear back from him - I was not aware that he had been ill. We have many memories that we will cherish. Our children loved their special time listening to the "children's story" each Sunday. He always explained the story down to their level so they would completely understand the similarity between the bible reading and how his story related to that reading. RIP Mark ... heaven has gained yet another angel.

Condolence From: Laurie, Neil, and Campbell
Condolence: We were fortunate to know Mark both as a minister, and also as a lover of theatre. Mark was involved in many productions of the Holstein Drama Group. He was in several plays. He directed a wonderful version of The Melville Boys, and his lovely harmony added to both Fiddler on the Roof and Oklahoma. We remember the Lechiam scene so vividly with Mark. Thanks. He was always fearful of the disease that killed his mother that he loved so dearly. Peace be with you Mark.
