James "Jim” Tait
Peacefully at Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital on Wednesday March 30, 2005 with his family by his side James Edward Tait in his 68th year. Born in Houghton Township son of the late Theodore and Minnie (nee: Millen) Tait. Jim was beloved husband and best friend for 46 years to Joanne Tait (nee: Moosberger). Dear father of Judy (Don) Hines of Aylmer; James (Kim) Tait of Eden; Janice (Edward) Bertrand of Delhi. Very much loved "Grandpa” to Kathy-Jo (Johnathan) Blondeel of St. Thomas; Julie-Ann (John) Hawley of London; Tracy and Tara Hines of Aylmer; Jennifer, Adam and Victoria Bertrand of Delhi. Dear brother of Ron Tait of Courtland; Ted (Lois) Tait of Straffordville; Doug (Laura) Tait of Port Burwell; Eileen Roduck of Vienna. Also, survived by sisters-in-law Anne Tait and Edna Tait both of Tillsonburg, as well as several nieces and nephews. Jim was predeceased by his brothers Glen, Gord, and Art, and brother-in-law Howard Roduck. Jim farmed for many years in Bayham Township and Langton area as a tobacco share grower until his retirement. Jim had a great passion for woodworking as a cabinet maker. The family will receive their friends and family at Ostrander’s Funeral Home 43 Bidwell St. Tillsonburg (842-5221) on Friday April 1, 2005 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services for Jim will be held in the Ostrander’s Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday April 2, 2005 at 1 p.m. Rev. David Clarke of Full Gospel Fellowship Church- Simcoe officiating. Cremation to follow service. Interment later in Cultus Cemetery. At the families request memorial donations (payable by cheque) may be made to the Oxford Lung Association, or to Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital Memorial Fund.
