Obituary for Al Riches

AL RICHES
SEPTEMBER 7, 1953 – FEBRUARY 9, 2022

Suddenly but peacefully, after a lengthy battle with illness, on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 Allen “Al” Riches of Courtland passed away at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital at the age of 68 years. Devoted and cantankerous husband of 48 years to Vicky (nee Wood). Proud and loving father to his sons Rob and his wife Cheryl and J.P and his wife Meredith. Doting Papa to Quin Riches, Kaylynn Riches, Dariane Rogers, Collin Rogers, Emerson Riches and Madison Riches. Al will be deeply missed by his best furry friend Penny. Cherished brother to Heather Riches and her friend Gary Reid. Al had a great appreciation for the many friends made through the years. Predeceased by his mother Jean Riches (nee Daiken) (1991), father Norman “Tink” Riches (1999) and brother Brad Riches (2018). Al was a dedicated employee of TRW for 25 years. He enjoyed many trips with family and friends on his motorcycles over the years. Al made many great memories competing in Team Penning with his former horse J.J. and was a proud scuba dive master. Al will be remembered as always having a smile on his face and was constantly looking for the next great prank to pull on his family and friends. You truly never knew what Al was up to next.
