Peacefully at Victoria Hospital in London, Alvin Jacob of Tillsonburg passed away in his 87th year. Beloved husband and best friend of Jean Jacob (2005) and loving partner of Eleanor Roach. Dear father of Nancy (Rev. Steven Cox); Michael Jacob (Norm Paquette)(2019); Scott Jacob (2012). Cherished and much loved grandfather to Ryan Cox (Amanda) and Kendall Cox. A great grandfather to Malcolm. Brother to Jean Tice. Alvin was a member of the Tillsonburg Legion for many years. Visitation for Alvin will take place at Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell St, Tillsonburg, N4G 3T6, (519) 842-5221 on Monday, September 23, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. with a memorial service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Steven Cox son-in-law of Alvin will be officiating. Cremation has taken place. Private family inurnment Tillsonburg Cemetery Columbarium. In lieu of flowers, donations (payable by cheque) may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
