ANTAL “TONY” NAGY (1944 – 2019)
Peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family, at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, March 6, 2019, Antal “Tony” Nagy passed away at the age of 74 years. Beloved husband and best friend of Irene (Kiss) Nagy for 49 wonderful years. Cherished father of Frank Nagy (Emily) of Tilbury, Sofia Sisera (Joe) of Oakville and Robert Karanja of London. Cherished grandfather of Hailee, Drew, Gillian, Audrey, Tessa, Cole and Kalli. Loved and missed by Corrine Morris and Margarita Mejia. Dear brother of Mary Molnar (Sandor) of Hungary, Eva Varga (Joseph) of Switzerland and Frank Nagy (Teri) of Hungary. Tony is also survived by his nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Antal and Maria (Szolosi) Nagy and a sister Irene. Tony enjoyed fine cabinet making and carpentry. He took tremendous pride in the fact that he built his own home. But Tony’s greatest love was spending time with his family. Friends and relatives are invited to gather at Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) on Saturday, March 9, 2019 from 7:00 – 9:00 pm and Sunday March 10, 2019 from 10:30 am to 11:00 am. Parish prayers will commence at 7:00 pm on Saturday. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. George’s Greek Catholic Church, Courtland on Sunday, March 10, 2019 at 11:30 am with Father Louis Angyal presiding. Interment to follow at St. Ladislaus Cemetery, Courtland. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the Nagy family.
