Tony was like a father to me. I remember we would be watching TV together and he would ask me if I wanted some chips. When I said yes he would say ‘can you grab me a beer while you are up?’ He taught me to fish and bought me my first fishing pole - which I still have 40 years later. He protected me and always had my back. While I didn’t see him much over the past few years I thought of him often. I called him every Father’s Day and I could feel him blushing through the phone. When I took him to London for appointments after he lost his leg I had him laughing about it, even though he was in pain. He suffered a lot of pain and now he is at peace.
Unfortunately I just found out about his passing so I was unable to attend the funeral. I will miss him.

Tony... it was a pleasure meeting you years ago... fond memories sitting around the campfire, while listening to Conway Twitty, enjoying a cold one in the beautiful outdoors in Port Burwell. I will miss your sense of humour and your contagious laugh. I hope that “man’s best friend”, your beloved dog, Shane greeted you with his wagging tail. I fondly remember walking Shane for you, he was a great dog, as was his Master. Rest In Peace, my friend!
