BRIAN REID
June 13, 1947 – July 18, 2023
Brian Reid of Tillsonburg passed away at VON Sakura House on July 18, 2023 at the age of 76. Much loved husband of Margaret (Foris) Reid. Loving father of Melissa Reid (Bill), Michelle Lawrence (Dean), Melanie Jenney (Jonathan), Carey Duncan (Mike), and Tiffany Foris (Andrew). Proud grandpa of nine grandchildren: Mitchell, Joel, Nolan, Emily, Kira, Nathan, Dakota, Tybee, and Eli. Much loved brother of Gail Balthes (Danny) of Georgia. Beloved uncle of Aarika Dunn, and her family, also of Georgia.
Brian was a tobacco farmer and long-time employee of Verspeeten Cartage, driving truck. He always enjoyed visiting with others and couldn’t go anywhere without running into a familiar face. Most recently, Brian, and his little dog Gracie, treasured many visits in his home from family and friends.
The family wishes to thank the health care team at CarePartners, Dr. Foerster, Dr. Sondhi, and all the staff and volunteers at VON Sakura House for their amazing care.
Cremation has taken place and a private family service will follow. Donations in memory of Brian can be made to VON Sakura House and can be done online directly with the charity or via cheque payable to
