CAROL ANN JEAN ACRE
(1952 – 2019)
The family of Carol Acre sadly announces her passing at home in Tillsonburg on Friday, August 09, 2019 at the age of 67 years. Beloved wife of Albert for 28 years. Dearest loving sister to Cathy (Ric) Gordon of Wyoming, ON, Christine (Tom) McLean of Oshawa, Cindy (Rod) Mood of Oshawa and Anne (Murray) Yaxley of Barrie. Also survived by mother-in-law Elsie Acre of Richmond, sister-in-law Viola Neale of Tillsonburg, brothers-in-law Lewis (Lynn) Acre of Richmond, Joseph (Donna) Acre of Tillsonburg and many special nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and friends as well as her furry companion Minnie. Predeceased by her parents, Ronald and Audrey Creamer and father-in-law Lewis Eugene (Nick) Acre.
Carol was a member of the Tillsonburg Horticultural Society she was also the treasurer of the Ontario Horticultural Association District 10 and was also a member of the Red Hat Society. Previously a member of the former Houghton Brethren in Christ Church (Frogmore) as well as a member of Huron Park Baptist Church (Woodstock) and more recent, a member of Tillsonburg Alliance Church. Carol received her RNA at Scarborough General Hospital and then was employed at Extendicare (Oshawa) and Woodingford Lodge (Woodstock). As an administrator she worked at Ingersoll Machine & Tool and at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church in Tillsonburg. In her spare time Carol loved activities such as arts, crafts, making dolls, knitting, crochet and Diamond Dots. The family welcome you to join them for a visitation at Ostrander’s Funeral Home Limited, 43 Bidwell St., Tillsonburg, ON, (519) 842-5221 on Friday, August 23, 2019 from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Tillsonburg Alliance Church (270 Quarter Town Line Rd.) on Saturday August 24, 2019 at 12:00 PM with visitation from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM. Pastor Paul Woodburn will be officiating. Family inurnment later in the Richmond Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a perennial plant or Memorial donation in Carol’s memory (payable by cheque) to the Tillsonburg Alliance Church or The Tillsonburg Horticultural Society.
