David Oliver Oatman
April 4th 1955 – September 24th 2019
Peacefully with his family by his side at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital, Dave lost his brave fight to cancer. Survived by: Wife Regina Delaney, Children Aaron Oatman, Brian Oatman and Madison Hansford. Also survived by his Brothers: James (Anna), Chuck (Terri), Sister Jean-Marie (Doug) as well as several nieces and nephews. Son of the late Oliver Oatman (1973) and Doris (Birdsall) Oatman (2018). Dave was a partner in Kirwin & Oatman Excavating, with his best friends John Kirwin (JK) and Jeff Kirwin. Dave worked with heavy equipment most of his life, he found immense joy working with machinery. Dave gave generously of his time and services in support of the Tillsonburg Community. Dave was a former member of the Tillsonburg Optimist Club and valued the fellowship of the other members and the contributions they made to Optimist projects. Dave was well known and well loved by many people, he will be dearly missed. In memory of Dave the family would like to encourage donations to the Ronald McDonald House Charities or the charity of your choice by contacting Ostrander’s Funeral Home at (519-842-5221) 43 Bidwell St. Tillsonburg. Visitation will be held at Ostrander’s Funeral Home on Friday October 4th 2:00pm – 4:00pm and 7:00pm – 9:00pm. Inurnment will be held at Tillsonburg Cemetery on Saturday October 5th at 11:00am. The family invites all who wish to attend to join them in a Celebration of Life following the service on Saturday October 5th beginning at 1:00 pm at Ed & Maureen McLaughlin's 144798 Potters Road, Tillsonburg, ON.
