Diedrich (Richard) Thiessen
Passed away suddenly on Thursday, July 23, 2020, Diedrich (Richard) Thiessen, at the age of 66.
Richard was born on August 17, 1953 in Chihuahua, Mexico to Klaas and Katherina Thiessen. Predeceased by wife Esther (Dyck) Thiessen. Father and Father-in-law to, Victor, (Laureine), Tony, (Tanya), Bobby, (Cristy), and Julie, (Peter Soares).
Loving Papa to Madison, Tyla, Adam, Beau, Sydney, Summer, Elthia, Latessa, Isaiah Thiessen and Jack and Thomas Soares.
Dear brother to Nick, Bill, (Grace), Joe, Pete, (Cheryl) and sister Susan, (Dave Andrews) and predeceased Anne Thiessen.
Brother-in-law to the Dyck family and uncle to several nieces and nephews. Friend of Brenda Underhill and family.
Richard was described as having “A heart of gold, it shone right through his eyes” (J. Phillips). He had a great love for all living things and was happiest spending his time with his family enjoying the great outdoors. He was a talented and skilled craftsman in several fields. He worked most recently for TVT (Tripp Vogt Trottier) and prior at Dyck’s Garage and Gary Verres Farms.
He will be forever missed.
A Private Celebration of Life ceremony will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Lynedoch, ON.
