After a courageous battle with illness, Dorothy Venita Jean Ford, of Burford and formerly of Tillsonburg, passed away at the Woodstock Hospital on Sunday, October 6, 2019, in her 81st year. Beloved wife and best friend of Gary Baker for 18 years and the Late Richard Holbeck. Caring mother of James Holbeck of Tillsonburg, David Holbeck (Christine) of Otterville, Robert Holbeck (Sylvia) of Tillsonburg, Shelly Baker (Mike) of Burford, Sherry Kaufman (Darryl) of Waterford and Christine Foster (Lee) of Burford. Cherished grandmother of many grandchildren. Dear sister-in-law of Marline Ford of Tillsonburg, Myrna Rushton (William) of London and Virginia Schimmens of Brantford. Dorothy is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sisters Colleen Brown (Golden), Donna Wice (Roy), brothers Murray Ford (Helen), Leo Ford (Marg), Laurice Ford (Rose), Allen Ford and Junior Ford. In keeping with Dorothy’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private graveside service will be held at the Tillsonburg Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Alzeheimer Society may be made by contacting Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) who have been entrusted with the arrangements.
