Peacefully, at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital on Friday, December 30, 2022, Douglas “Doug” Roy Babcock passed away at the age of 79 years after a brief illness. Proud and loving father of Willy Babcock (Tracy), Maryann White (David) and Becky Babcock. Cherished grandpa of Tyler, Justin, Kodey and Ryan. Special companion of Rose Vanhooren and step-father of Tracy Gattinger (Jeff) and Frank Vanhooren (Tina). Doug is also survived by his sister-in-law Betty Babcock and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Earl and Violet (Hayward) Babcock, his sister Dorothy Bates and brother Aubrey Babcock. Doug was involved with many local churches in the Tillsonburg area as well as the Upper Deck Youth Centre in Tillsonburg. In keeping with Doug’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
