Eleanor Maxine Furlong (1930-2022) After a fantastic run with life, Eleanor Maxine closed this chapter of life and transitioned to the next on Wednesday, November 2, 2022. Although we are heart broken, she leaves us with 91 years of tremendous memories. Forever loved and missed by her daughter, Lynda-Lea and her husband Jay Balcom, her most precious grandchildren, Andrea Lea and William Bryce. Much loved sister of Donald and Margaret Crossett. Loved sister in law of Jane Howse (late Charlie), Mary Margaret Church (late Ted), Tom and Alma Furlong, and Bob and Catherine Furlong. Beloved aunt to several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by an infant son David, her husband William John Furlong, parents Gordon and Lottie Crossett, and in laws Jack and Mary Furlong. Also predeceased by her in laws Barbara and Max Hart, Wanda Pope, Sharon Furlong, and David Furlong. Extra special thanks to Judy Winter for her excellent care and friendship this past year, Caressant Care Courtland, and the compassionate staff at Ostrander’s Funeral Home. Following Eleanor’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no service. If you wish to make a donation in memory of Eleanor, please consider the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital.
