Peacefully, at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital on Thursday, November 17, 2022, Elizabeth “Betty” Margaret (Smith) Cooper of Brownsville was called Home to be with her Lord at the age of 92 years. Beloved wife of the Late Earl Cooper (2009) for 57 wonderful years. Proud and loving mother of Jeanette Berenz (Brian) of Cambridge, Barb Hallows (Randy) of Tillsonburg, Patti DeBuck (Wayne) of Tillsonburg and Michael Cooper (LeeAnn) of Brownsville. Cherished grandmother “Granny” of Stephanie Hallows (Tyler Batstone), Brittany Hallows (Will Gordon), Justine DeBuck, Brandon Cooper (Olivia Kennedy), Michaela Cooper, Zoe Cooper and one great-grandson Jack Batstone. Dear sister of Bob Smith (Bonnie), Alex Smith (Mary Ellen) and sister-in-law of Sandy Purdy (John). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Betty and her husband Earl farmed in the Brownsville area since 1958.
A Private Family Funeral Service will be held with interment to follow at the Delmer Cemetery. In Betty’s memory, donations to Gideons Bible Society, North Broadway Baptist Church or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated and may be made by contacting Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) who have been entrusted by the Cooper family.
