ESTHER CHISHOLM (1936 – 2019)
Peacefully, at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital on Sunday, December 15, 2019, Esther (Kalyan) Chisholm of Tillsonburg passed away at the age of 83 years. Beloved wife and best friend of Horace for 57 years. Dear sister of Christina Jagernatha (Shame), Agnes Rachaman (Nazul), Winston Kalyan (Indra) and David Kalyan (Pullan) all of Trinidad. Esther is also survived by her foster siblings Deanna Woody (Joe) of New Hamburg, Donna McMullen (Donny, deceased) of Otterville, Julie Clifford (Gary) of Norwich, Darwin Sherman (Barbara) of LaSalette and Lloyd Sherman (Cherrill Sinden, deceased) of Tillsonburg. Esther will also be missed by her many nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by her parents Edward and Elizabeth (Chadee) Kalyan, her foster parents Howard and Minnie Sherman and sisters Lena Boyd and Virginia Sing. Friends and relatives will be received at North Broadway Baptist Church, Tillsonburg on Friday, December 20, 2019 from 10:00 am – 11:00 am. The Memorial Service for Esther will follow at 11:00 am with Pastor Mark Barrett officiating. Memorial donations to Gideons Bible Society or North Broadway Baptist Church may be made by contacting Ostrander’s Funeral Home who have been entrusted with the arrangements.
