Peacefully, at Secord Trails Care Community in Ingersoll on Sunday, November 27, 2022, Ethel “Mae” (Schweyer) Palmer, formerly of Tillsonburg passed away at the age of 92 years. Beloved wife of the Late Alex Palmer (1989). Proud and loving mother of Wayne Palmer of Brownsville, Sharon Puype (Ralph) of Appin and Jeff Palmer of Noelville Cherished grandmother of Nic, Cassie, Stephanie and great-grandmother of Shane, Dylan and Brooke and great-great grandmother of Penelope. Dear sister of Gordon Schweyer of London and sister-in-law of Ruby Schweyer of Tillsonburg and Marie Kechnie (Garry) of Bayfield. Mae is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Oscar and Ethel (MacDonald) Schweyer, sisters Joyce Harris, Bernice Hornsby, Irene Fitch, Eleanor Girardin, Blanche Glover and brothers Doug and Mansel Schweyer. The family will receive friends and relatives on Friday, December 2, 2022 from 1:00 – 2:00 pm at Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221). A Graveside Service will follow at the Tillsonburg Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Alzheimers Society or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the Palmer family.
