Peacefully with her family by her side, Frances passed away at Maple Manor Nursing Home, Tillsonburg, Ontario in her 82nd year on February 14, 2022, to join her late husband Frank, for their Valentine’s Day reunion. Loving and devoted mother of Shelley Turner (Richard), Eric Kempf (2019) and Frank Kempf Jr.(Paula). Proud and loving Nana to Andrew, Stuart, Bryan and Colby. Formally Frances Staub, born in Cornwall, Ontario, to parents Martin and Frances Staub. Predeceased by her sisters and brother-in-laws, Catherine Riviere (Edward), Marianne Heinimann (Marcus), Mary Ann Schweder (Karl); brother Martin Staub Jr.; in-laws Frank and Mary Kempf and sister-in-law Elizabeth Stokl (Frank). Survived by her brothers Michael Staub (Gwen) and Joe Freund (Norma) and sister Betty Steiner (late John) and many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Frances was a member of Our Lady, Queen of Martyrs Parish, Delhi. She was an active and proud shareholder at the Delhi German Home, enjoying her time over the years with the “bowling girls”, gracing the dance floor with her husband and socializing with many friends in the Ladies Society. Former member and president of the Delhi Minor Hockey Mothers’ Association. Frances had many interests and hobbies from baking and cooking, sewing, refinishing furniture and tending to her large vegetable garden, but her family was truly her focus and love. Frances enjoyed travelling with her husband and relatives making good memories, especially on cruises. Her smile and jovial nature brought pleasure to all who knew her.

As per Frances’ wishes, cremation has taken place. In consideration of the continuing health and safety of our friends and family, a Private Family Funeral Service will take place with Interment in Delhi cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society, Parkinsons Foundation or the Lake Lisgar Revitalization Project. With immense gratitude, we thank the staff at Delrose Retirment Home and Maple Manor for their compassion and care and their appreciation for Fran’s sense of humour till the end.
