Obituary for Frank Kempf
Peacefully with his family by his side on October 24, 2019 at Maple Manor Nursing Home, Tillsonburg, Ontario at the age of 91. Beloved husband and best friend of Frances (Staub) of 58 years. Loving father of Shelley Turner (Richard), Eric Kempf and Frank Kempf Jr. (Paula). Proud Gramps to Andrew, Stuart, Bryan and Colby. Born in Mount Hope, Ontario to parents Frank and Mary Kempf. Predeceased by his sister Elizabeth Stokl (Frank), in-laws Martin and Frances Staub, sister and brother-in-laws, Catherine Riviere (Edward), Marianne Heinimann (Marcus), Mary Ann Schweder (Karl) and Martin Staub Jr. Survived by his in-laws Joe and Norma Freund, Michael and Gwen Staub, Betty Steiner (late John), and many nieces and nephews and extended family.
Frank was a familiar face to many in the Delhi area as he was a co-proprieter of Radio Shack (formerly Norfolk TV) and the Service Ontario license office in Delhi for over 40 years. Frank enjoyed the people and community he lived in. He also took pride in maintaining his family tobacco farm at R.R.# 2 Otterville, helping sharegrowers in any way he could. He was a member of Our Lady, Queen of Martyrs Parish, Delhi. Frank was a proud shareholder at the Delhi District German Home and enjoyed bowling with many of his friends over the years and dancing with his wife. Former member of the Tillsonburg Golf & Country Club and the Delhi Minor Hockey Association. Frank always had a positive outlook on life, often having a joke to share amongst friends. He was a dedicated family man and will be deeply missed by all. As per Frank’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family service and interment have been planned. Memorial donations may be made to the Delhi Community Health Centre, Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital Foundation or the Lake Lisgar Revitalization Project.
