WALTER “FRED” FREDERICK BROWN
APRIL 10, 1943 – JANUARY 27, 2021
Peacefully, yet unexpectedly, Walter Frederick “Fred” Brown passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2021, at the age of 77 years. Beloved husband of the late Beverley Mae Brown (nee Eveland) (2010). Common law-husband to the late Merle Cardiff. Survived by loving partner, Anne Carter. Proud father of Julie Smida and her husband Brian of St. Thomas, Gillian Brown of Port Burwell and Brent Robinson-Brown and his wife Stacey-Lee of Carcross, Yukon and step father of Sandra Manuel (Kevin) and Ian Cardiff. Cherished grandfather of Brendan, Camden, Ryder and Jayden Smida, Clare and Adele Mitchell, Madison Brown and Summer, Salem and Sierra Robinson-Brown and Abby Manuel. Survived by his step-father Bob Ireland. Predeceased by his parents Hugh Brown and Beula (nee Mckibbin) Ireland. Fred was an avid golfer for many years as well as a member of the Tillsonburg Curling Club. Fred was a teacher and principal for over 30 years in and around the Tillsonburg area. The Brown family would like to thank Nurse Paul on 2 South of the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital for the care and compassion he showed Fred and his family. Cremation has taken place. A private family inurnment will be held and a Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
