Obituary for Frederick George Henning

Frederick George Henning
August 8, 1942 – December 27, 2023

In loving memory of Fred Henning, a devoted father, cherished community member, and a loving husband to Elaine for over 60 years. Fred passed away peacefully on 27 December 2023 at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, genuine connection, and enduring love.

A passionate golfer, Fred found joy on the green, where his love for the sport was only surpassed by his love for people. Whether sharing a round with friends or enjoying a quiet game with Elaine, golf was a cherished part of their life together. Whether on the golf course or engaging in vibrant conversations, Fred’s unique fashion sense reflected his lively spirit and individuality.

Fred’s open-hearted nature made him a friend to all, and his pride in others’ achievements shone through every conversation. Elaine was not just his loving wife but also his golf companion, creating countless memories on the course that mirrored the beautiful journey of their 60-year marriage.

Known for his captivating storytelling, Fred Henning had a unique ability to weave narratives that left lasting impressions. With Elaine by his side, their shared stories became a testament to the enduring bond they cultivated, both on and off the golf course.

As we bid farewell to Fred Henning, let us remember the laughter he shared, the tales he spun, and the genuine connections he forged. May his spirit live on in the stories we tell and the warmth we extend to others, just as he did throughout his remarkable life.
