Peacefully at Caressant Care Nursing Home, Courtland, Ontario, surrounded by her family, Gabriel Kamiel Cattrysse (nee Maes) passed away on Thursday June 2, 2022 at the age of 96 years. Predeceased by her loving husband Adrian (1986). Loving mother to Jerry Cattrysse and his wife Nikki, Dave Cattrysse and his wife Sylvia. Adoring grandmother to Cory (Billie-Jo), Carrie (Tom), Jeff (Alexandra), Allison (Tony). Great grandmother to Angelika (Matt), Emily (Brent), Skylar, Erika, Keith, Jeff, Kate, Calvin and Malcolm. Great great grandmother to Lincoln and Hudson. Sister to Bill Maes, Madeline Skelton, Adrian (Jean) Maes. Sister in law to Lucien (Justine) Cattrysse. Aunt to many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Fidelis and Emma, sisters Marion Plets, Josephine DeBruyne and many loving relatives. Gabriel was a member of the UCW and the CWL, founding member of the Straffordville Lioness Club. Family and friends are invited to visitation on Sunday June 5, 2022 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg, Ontario (519) 842-5221. The Funeral Service for Gabriel will be held at Ostrander’s Funeral Home on Monday June 6, 2022 at 11:00am. Interment to follow at Tillsonburg Cemetery.
