GEORGE DOWNIE ADAMS
JUNE 30, 1950 – OCTOBER 05, 2019
After a yearlong battle, George Downie Adams of Maynooth, Ontario, formerly of Paris, Ontario, passed away on Saturday, October 05, 2019 at the age of 69 years. Loving husband of 44 years to Sheila (nee Perch). Caring and devoted father to Christine Adams and her spouse Carlos Urrea, Janet Waterhouse and her husband Nick, and Stephen Adams. Dedicated grandfather to Claire, Chloe, Sienna, Keane, and Aria. Predeceased by his parents George and Winnifred Adams, and brother Barry Adams. George taught high school for 30 years for the Peel District School Board. George was passionate about seeing his students succeed. He was a contributing author for a mathematics textbook and an “Internet connections” website. George lived by the rule “A job worth doing is worth doing well”. Friends and relatives will be received by the Adams family at OSTRANDER’S FUNERAL HOME LIMITED, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) for a visitation on Friday, October 18, 2019 from 12:30 - 1:00 pm. The Memorial Service will follow at 1:00 pm with Rev. Karlene Brown-Palmer officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Lung Cancer Canada, or the Heart and Stroke Foundation, would be appreciated by the Adams family.
