George Stirton Price
November 17, 1929- July 14, 2020
It is with a heavy heart that we announce George’s passing. Peacefully surrounded by his family, George Stirton Price, of Tillsonburg, formerly of Toronto, passed away on Tuesday, July 14th, 2020 at the age of 90 years. Loving husband of Betty for 48 years. Proud father of Lorraine Glowienka and her husband Ric, Joe Price and his wife Linda, Nancy Ouellette and Brenda Crozier. Loving grandfather to Katerina Glowienka, Samantha Mitchell, Lianne Price, Ryan Price, Steven Ouellette and David Ouellette, Jonathan Crozier and Aaron Crozier. Great- grandfather to Lily, Chloe, Joshua, Mackenzie, Hailey, Phillip, Emily and Ary. Dear friend of Jean Hall. In addition, George has left behind to mourn, his stepchildren Ken Belyea and wife Lori and their children Glenn Belyea and great grandchild Cameron. Carol- Lynn Belyea- Belliveau and her husband Jean Marc and great grandchild Jean Michel, Stepson Randy Belyea and wife Jeannie and their children Justin and Christine and grandsons Jason and Shane Belyea as well as stepson Tim Belyea. George was predeceased by his parents Christine and Joseph Price, brothers Joe and Jack Price, sister Lorraine Branch, son George Price Jr., granddaughter Laurel Price and son-in-law Randy Whearty as well as step daughter Anne Marie Belyea. George spent many years as a truck driver and loved to be out on the open road. After his “retirement” he worked for the Salvation Army in Tillsonburg until the age of 85. George was an avid sports fan and loved golf, boxing, baseball, and hockey. Cremation has taken place. A private family service will take place at a later date. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Salvation Army may be made by contacting Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) who have been entrusted by the Price family. The family wishes to thank the South West LHIN team, Dr. Foerster and all the nurses that cared for George at TDMH. A special thank you to Dr. H. Lamb.
