GEORGE ALFRED ROGERS
October 12, 1936 – December 30, 2020
George Alfred Rogers of Delhi passed away at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital on Wednesday December 30, 2020 in his 85th year. He was born on October 12, 1936 in Simcoe, ON, the son of the late Walter and Isabella (Brownlee) Rogers. He is survived by his common law spouse, Dianne Wilson. Proud father to his three daughters, Betsy Ann (Jay) Antoszek, Kelly (Geoff) McCabe, Gina (Dave) Malcolm. He enjoyed his three grandchildren Michelle (Ron) Mabee, Kelsey McCabe and Cale McCabe and his four great grandchildren Cole, Mackenzie, Kaylynn and Ethan. Brother to Douglas Rogers and uncle to his nephew Rob (Erin) Rogers and niece Niki Vandekerckhove. Great uncle to Chase, Ethan, Jayson, Aletta and Molly. He is survived by his extended family of step children, step grandchildren and step great grandchild.
Predeceased by his sister-in-law Jennifer Rogers. George was a true farmer; he farmed his entire life on the home farm. George was an avid hunter and he loved fishing and boating. His passion in his younger years was to fly single engine 2 passenger planes. George volunteered in helping with Meals on Wheels and many events for the Backus Heritage Conservation Area. He will be remembered by his wild, but really funny stories. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
