Obituary for Geraldine Fulop (Husty)
GERALDINE FULOP
February 13, 1924 – January 5, 2021
Peacefully at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on Tuesday January 5th, 2021, Geraldine Fulop (nee: Husty) of Delhi, passed away at the age of 96 years. Predeceased by her beloved husband, Joseph Fulop. Dear mother of Joe Fulop and Frank Fulop. Cherished grandmother of Frank (Amy Smith) Fulop and Joe (Tara) Fulop. Great grandmother to Carter Fulop. Sister to Margaret Drotos. Geraldine was predeceased by her parents Charles and Anna Husty, husband Joe Fulop, daughter Lynn Rowe and son in law John Rowe, daughter in law Anne Fulop, brother in law Joe Drotos and her brother Charles Husty. She is lovingly remembered by her nieces, nephews and dear friends. Geraldine was well known in the Walsingham area especially for the Lion’s Club Barbeques where everyone knew her as the “Barbeque Sauce Lady”. Geraldine also helped with the Women’s Institute by baking delicious treats especially pies. She enjoyed reading many books and taking walks in nature. One of Geraldine’s favourite pastimes was knitting socks and other pieces for her family and friends. She loved helping and cared deeply for those around her. In keeping with Geraldine’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation and may be made by contacting Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) who have been entrusted with arrangements.
