It is with sadness the family wishes to announce, Gerard Henry Sanders passed away on Tuesday April 27, 2021 at the age of 76 years. Jerry was born in Tillsonburg on April 4, 1945 to the late Omer (1981) and Leontine (DeCoster) Sanders (1980). In 1967, he married the love of his life, Sheila Hetherington. He share-grew tobacco until his retirement in 2005. He is the loving father to his sons Rick Sanders, in Germany and granddaughter Lilian and her mother Monika; and Bill Sanders (Roxane Wilson) of Langton and grandson Brandon and granddaughter Shannon. Beloved brother to Camiel. Uncle to his many nieces and nephews. Jerry is also survived by his sister-in-law, Sharon Hetherington; and brother-in-law Howard (Biff) and his wife Evelyn. Jerry is predeceased by both of his parents and his brother George (2018) and sisters-in-law Angela (2015), and Dorothy (2019). Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or service at this time. Memorial donations to Muscular Dystrophy, War Amps, the Salvation Army, or to a charity of your choice by contacting Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg(519-842-5221) who have been entrusted by the Sanders family.
