Saddened to here of Gil’s passing but know he is at peace. Gil always referred to me as his other daughter. I always felt honoured to be called this. I have many fond and cherished memories from being at your place and especially of your visits to our place in Newfoundland. You will always hold a special place in my heart. Soar with the angels. Love Marion and Ron Fitzgerald.

I have great memories of spending a week at a time during many summer holidays (along with my sister Debbie) with Uncle Gil and Aunt Cil and our cousins at the farm near Norwich. We had so much fun and always got teased by Uncle Gil. Later in life, Uncle Gil handcrafted 2 beautiful curio cabinets (one for me and one for Debbie) in memory of our mom (Vivian). Each of the cabinets proudly displayed a brass plaque "To Christine - In Memory of Vivian - Love Uncle Gil' . We will cherish those cabinets forever! He was a great man in my eyes who had a real 'soft spot' for Vivian and Ralph (probably because Ralph was the baby of the Vuylsteke family). He lived an awesome life filled with people and activities he loved! He will be missed but we know he is now at peace. Love and condolences to Aunt Cil, Marie, Brenda, Yvette, Maurice & families and all the grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
