Gordon William Voss
January 2, 1936 – September 17, 2022
Peacefully at his home, Gordon William Voss passed away on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at the age of 86 years. Loving spouse of Joyce Voss. Caring father of James and Kevin Voss and daughter-in-law Sherrie. Proud grandfather to Cody Voss. Gordon served his country as a member of the Canadian Armed Forces. After the armed forces he worked at and taught electronics at a professional level at Motorola. Gordon also worked with Rogers Communications. In keeping with Gordon’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Memorial donations to the Cancer Society may be made by contacting Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) who have been entrusted by Gordon’s family.

Don’t grieve for me now I’m free
I’m following the path God laid for me
I took his hand when I heard his call
I turned my back and I left it all
I could not stay another day
To laugh, to love, to work or play
Tasks left undone must stay that way
I’ve found my peace at the close of day
If my parting has left a void
Then fill it with remembered joy
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss
Ah, yes these things I too will miss.
Be burdened not with the times of sorrow
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My life’s been full, I savored much
Good friends, good times, a loved one’s touch.
Perhaps my times seemed all too brief
Don’t lengthen it with undue grief.
Lift up your heart and share with me
God wanted me now, and has set me free.
