Obituary for Gwynn Ellnor Williams (Meyer)

GWYNN ELLNOR WILLIAMS
April 8, 1926 – January 3, 2022
She valued life right up until her last breath. The family wishes to announce the peaceful passing of their beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother Gwynn Ellnor Williams, formerly of Port Burwell, at Caressant Care Nursing Home, Courtland in her 96th year. Predeceased by her loving husband Frank (1989). Gwynn was a loving, strong mother to Sheila Williams, Luanne Williams Teall (the late Howard). She was a fiercely proud grandmother to Scott Palmer (Alana), Stacey (John) Campbell, Katrina (Andrew) Teall Breeze, Tanya Teall (Niraj Mistry), Vanessa Teall (Jeffrey Simonetti), Adam Teall (Chris Wallace). Gwynn was a great grandmother to 10 great grandchildren. She was loved by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Delmer Meyer and Hattie Durdle and sister Iva Taylor. Gwynn loved Port Burwell; she was Port Burwell’s biggest fan. She was a passionate member of Trinity Anglican Church and had an opportunity to serve as their Ladies Guild president. She will be fondly remembered in Port Burwell by her customers at The Fish House, whom she loved. Gwynn was an inspiration to so many people with her love for life. When she went to reside at Caressant Care in Courtland she fell in love with all of the staff. At Caressant Care she enjoyed all of the activities that were offered. She even got a chance to be the President of the Resident Council at Caressant Care and was the Strawberry Queen. A private funeral service will be held for Gwynn at Ostrander’s Funeral Home, who have been entrusted with arrangements. Interment will be at Trinity Anglican Church Cemetery, Port Burwell. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
