June 24, 1939– April 22, 2024

The family wishes to announce the peaceful passing of their beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather Harry Wilfred Anderson of Tillsonburg on Monday April 22, 2024, at the age of 84 years. Loving husband of almost 64 years to Marilyn (nee Bradt). Caring father of Karrie (Rob) Tanner, Kevin (Lori) Anderson and Kirby Anderson. Papa to Brock (April), Steven, Patrick (Emily), Katie (Brady), Ema (Justin). Great grandfather to Cooper, Isla, Bo, and Everleigh. Brother to Bonnie (Wayne) Dixon and brother-in-law to Muriel Winger and Viola Partington. Loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Archie and Dorothy Anderson, mother and father-in-law Leatha and George Bradt.

Harry was a member of King Hiram Masonic Lodge #78 and a member of the Tillsonburg Shrine Club. He loved boating at Turkey point and enjoyed 39 years owning a trailer and making memories at the Turkey point Marina. Harry was heavily involved in local hockey. He transitioned from Minor Hockey to Jr. Hockey, Intermediate and Senior Hockey in Tillsonburg and was also on the committee to help build the Community Arena in 1977 which was later named The Colin Campbell Arena. He also developed many life-long friendships that he cherished his entire life.

Friends and relatives will be received by Harry’s family at Ostrander’s Funeral Home; 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) on Friday April 26, 2024, from 5:00pm until 8:00pm with a Masonic service starting at 7:30 pm. Visitation will continue on Saturday, April 27, 2024, from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm. The Funeral Service for Harry will be held on Saturday April 27, 2024, at 12pm noon in Ostrander’s Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take place at Tillsonburg Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s Society or Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital Foundation can be made online directly with each organization or via cheque payable to the charity by contacting Ostrander’s Funeral Home.
