Obituary for Harry Robert "Bob" Armstrong

HARRY ROBERT (BOB) ARMSTRONG

April 25, 1943 - November 18, 2021

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, granddad, father-in-law, brother, brother-in-law, uncle Harry Robert (Bob) Armstrong. Bob passed away peacefully at home on Thursday November 18, 2021 at the age of 78 years. Born April 25, 1943 in Hamilton, Ontario. Beloved husband and best friend for 55 years to his wife Jean (Hallows) Armstrong. Loving and supportive father to his daughter Lee Ann and her husband Michael Cooper and their children Brandon (Olivia), Michaela and Zoe and his son Lyn Armstrong and Carolyn and their children Blake, Connor and Marisa. Brother to Doris and Emma Jean. Dearest brother-in-law of Doreen Dienesch (Fred), Fred Hallows (Betty), Elaine Bowman (Gary), Late Ken (November 15, 2021) Hallows (Caroline), Janice Durham (Brian). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Harry Robert (1986) and Emma Viola Belle (1997) (Simmons), his father and mother-in-law George William (1981) and Lila May (1988) (Dodgson) Hallows and his brother-in-law Ronald Hallows (2020); Bob was proprietor of Harry Armstrong & Sons Pumps. Bob was an avid MOPAR collector and antique automobile enthusiast. As per Bob’s wishes cremation has taken place with no visitation or funeral service. A Celebration of Life for Bob to be announced at a later date. The family wishes to extend a very special thank you to Pauline and Care Partners Team 6 for their care and compassion. Also for the past 7 years for direction and care that Bob received from Dr. Michael Sanatani and Nurse Julie from London Regional Cancer Clinic.
