IRENE GRACE ARMSTRONG
August 3, 1946 – October 12, 2022
Peacefully, at Maple Manor Nursing Home in Tillsonburg on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, Irene Grace (Popp) Armstrong passed away at the age of 76 years. Beloved mother of Francis “Frank” Benke (Shannon Schooley). Dear sister-in-law of Mary Jane Popp. Irene is also survived by her niece Melinda Lamoure (Trevor), her Godparents Grace and Steve Balagh and many cousins. Predeceased by her parents James and Irene (Hudak) Popp and her brothers Edward and James Popp. Friends and relatives are invited to a Memorial Visitation at Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm. A private graveside service for Irene will be held at St. Ladislaus Cemetery in Courtland. Memorial donations to the Diabetes Association or Community Living, Tillsonburg would be appreciated. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Maple Manor Nursing Home and Community Living, Tillsonburg for their care of Irene for many years.
