JACQUES ANDERSON
Deeply saddened by the death of Jacques Alexander Anderson, of Mt. Elgin, on Friday, April 03, 2020, at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital, at the age of 86 years. Loving husband and best friend for 53 years to his wife Carol (nee Fewster). Survived by his sister Patricia Graydon, sister-in-laws’ Mary Rooke (Lyle); Barb Freeman (Ray); and Dawne Fewster. Predeceased by his parents Alexander and Violet Anderson; brother Robert Anderson, brother-in-laws’ William Graydon; William Fewster; and Arnold Fewster. Special uncle to his many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and 1 great great niece. Jacques worked as a postal clerk at the Tillsonburg Post Office for 29 years. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, and camper. Jacques and Carol were 50 year members of the Family Campers and RVer’s, and were Charter Members for 50 years with the Tri-County Travellers. He loved softball and played with the Mt. Elgin Mounties, he also umpired for a number of years. A private family service is to be held at Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221). Interment will be held at Tillsonburg Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters; the London Humane Society; or the Mt. Elgin Community Centre would be appreciated by the Anderson family.
