Janet McBride
October 25, 1943 – January 28, 2022
It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of Janet McBride, on Friday, January 28th, 2022, at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital.
Loving wife and best friend to Alan for 45 years. Beloved mother to Mark (Kathy), Kristina (Shane), Cathy and Christopher. Daughter to Madeline and the late Marcel Renneboog. Sister to Jean Meharg and the late Jim, Joan Mount (Art), Richard Renneboog, and Marianne Allard (Andre). Sister-in-law to Robert (Julie) McBride and Alice Peterson (late Walter). Loving Grandmother to Dina, Tom, Meagan, Jocelyn, Cole and Zoe. Great Grandmother to Adaline, Lilianne and James.
Predeceased by her father Marcel Renneboog (2021), Father-in-Law Alan “Ross” McBride (2017), Mother-in-Law Jessie (Bain) McBride (2014) and Grandson Chad McBride (1999).
She was a Foster Mom to 40 plus foster children in need. She was a long-time member of the Catholic Woman’s League. She was a great supporter of the Arts and the sport of Drag Racing, and she loved a good game of Bridge!
Visitation will be held at Ostrander's Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg, ON N4G 3T6, (519) 842-5221 on Tuesday, February 1st, 2022, starting at 3pm. Guests are asked to register online on Janet’s tribute page using the RSVP button or by calling the funeral home. Masks and Social Distancing will be mandatory.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Aylmer. Following Mass, Interment will be at Queen of Peace Cemetery in Aylmer.
