1926 – 2020
Peacefully at Maple Manor Nursing Home, Tillsonburg, on Friday, April 17, 2020 Margaret “Jean” Dennis, of Brownsville was promoted to Glory at the age of 92 years. Predeceased by her husband Mac (2006), daughter Donna (1997), daughter Margaret (2013) and her husband David (2014), and her grandson Scott (2015). Loving mother to her son Bill. Proud grandmother of Michelle Peters (Damien), Louise Peters, Brian Young, Christine Young (Terry). Great grandmother to Syvanna, Keirah, Kayla, Jared, Sage, Jade, Klay, Finn, Lily, and Ember. Survived by her sister-in-law Mary Dennis. Extended family Rick Young and his wife Deb. Predececeased by her parents George and Irene McDonough, and brother Bill McDonough. Jean was a long-time member of Brownsville United Church; she loved teaching Sunday school and enjoyed her involvement with the U.C.W. Jean was a member of Avondale United Church, she was a 4-H Leader, a Past District President of the Brownsville Institute, and was a volunteer in Palliative Care at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital. We are sorry to report that due to the ongoing restrictions resulting from the spread of the Coronavirus there can be no community visitations or the planned funeral. A Private family funeral will be held, and the private family interment will be held at the Delmer Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Avondale United Church, or the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated by the Dennis family and can be made by contacting Ostrander’s Funeral Home Limited, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) who have been entrusted with arrangements.
