Obituary for Jeanette Marilyn "Jenny" Kristjanson

Jeanette Marilyn Kristjanson

January 4, 1944 – February 2, 2024

Jeanette Marilyn Kristjanson, affectionately known to all as Jenny, a resident of Tillsonburg, formerly of Campobello Island, New Brunswick, passed away peacefully on February 2, 2024, in London, Ontario, surrounded by her family and her best friend of 50 years, Geri Korri. Born on January 4, 1944, in Saint John, New Brunswick, but grew up in Campobello Island, Jenny would mention quite frequently that she played with Teddy Rosevelt’s grandchildren. She was quite proud of that story. Her radiant spirit and infectious laughter brought joy to all those that surrounded her.

Jenny was predeceased by her beloved husband, John in 2001. Their love being the building block to their beautiful family. Jenny will be sadly missed by her children, Susan Storms and her partner Joe Currie, Randy Kristjanson and his partner Crystal Borden and Sheri Van Raalte and her husband Jerry. Jenny shone as a grandmother, Brandon and Laurie Storms, Haley Kristjanson, Darcie Veenema, Deanna, Marcella, and Madison Van Raalte were all blessed to call her grandma, and she doted on her great-grandchildren Jack, Owen, Jada, Nathan, Mason, Aiden, Liam and Nixon with immeasurable love and pride. She was predeceased by her father Randall Gough and her mother Beatrice Gough (nee Bryon).

Jenny found great solace and strength in her Church and bible study groups. Her commitment to her beliefs was evident in her grace and selfless actions with which she lived her life. She loved to knit and would make hats, gloves and slippers for her family with love and care.

She was known for her caring and genuine loving disposition. She had a great sense of humour and always made people laugh. Jenny’s zest for life extended to her love of movies, which she often enjoyed with her children, creating memories that would last a lifetime. The sound of her family singing karaoke was music to her ears, and she reveled in the joy and togetherness these moments brought.

We describe Jenny as loving, selfless and faith-filled and that barely scratches the surface of the incredible women, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend she was. Her legacy is one of compassion, laughter and unwavering dedication to her family and faith. Her memory will continue to be a source of light for all who knew her.

Your wings were ready but our hearts were not. May you rest in peace with God’s arms wrapped around you.
