JOANNE MCDONALD (nee DEBUCK)
SEPTEMBER 3, 1937– NOVEMBER 9, 2021
It is with a sad and heavy heart we wish to announce the peaceful passing of Joanne Louise McDonald (nee DeBuck) at Caressant Care Nursing Home, Courtland on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at the age of 84 years. Loving wife and best friend to the late Grant McDonald, who passed away in 2015. Joanne was the loving daughter of the late Odiel and Marguerite DeBuck. Cherished mother of Mark (Shelly), Jeanne (Christine) and Kirby (Anne) and predeceased by her son Dana. Loving grandmother to Danielle (Jason), Kyle, Cody, Dana, Reed, and Scott. Great grandmother to Mila. Joanne was born in Bothwell, Ontario and shortly after that the family moved to Tillsonburg. Joanne had a broad definition of family, and took pride in helping others. She was a good friend, knew how to listen and saw the best in everyone. Her friendship will be sorely missed by those that knew her. She volunteered with the ladies auxiliary at St. Paul’s United Church, Tillsonburg and loved baking for everyone. Joanne was a lover of telling a good joke and of spending time with her family. At the request of the McDonald family, a fully vaccinated visitation will be held at Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg, ON N4G 3T6 (519) 842-5221 on Monday November 15, 2021 from 6:00pm to 7:30pm. A fully vaccinated memorial service for Joanne will be held on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at 11:00 am. All guests attending MUST provide identification and proof of being fully vaccinated. Guests attending both the visitation and the memorial service must register for each SEPERATELY, and can do so on-line on Joanne’s tribute page or by calling the funeral home. Masks are mandatory. Interment will be held at the Ruthven Cemetery. Memorial Donations in Joanne’s memory may be made to St. Paul’s United Church, Tillsonburg, and can be done by following the directions on Joanne’s tribute page or by contacting the funeral home.
