Peacefully, at Tabor Manor in St. Catharines on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, Lanora “Nora” Iletta (Lester) Hevenor, formerly of Tillsonburg passed away at the age of 96 years. Beloved wife and best friend for 68 years of the Late Stanley Walter Hevenor (2014). Proud and loving mother of Dale Hevenor (Doreen) of Kinburn, Larry Hevenor (Pearl) of Niagara Falls and Ann Marie Kenwell (Paul) of Kanata. Cherished Grandmother of Michael, Ian, Andrew, Carley, Colin, Randy, Todd and Great Grandmother to Lino, Megan, Jonathan, Hailey, Landon and one Great Great Granddaughter Nevaeh. Dear sister-in-law of, Ivan Hevenor (Donna), Nora is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Floyd and Ethel (Martin) Lester, siblings Ruth Rutherford, George Lester, Robert Lester, Art Lester, Muriel Cowell, Marjorie Darley, Laura Mansfield, Ida Thompson and brothers-in-law Allan Heavenor, Max Hevenor, Donald Hevenor, Ashton Hevenor, Carl Hevenor, sisters-in-law Marian Brady and Maire Fullerton. Friends and relatives will be received at Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) on Wednesday May 25, 2022 from 10:00am until 11:00am. The Funeral Service for Nora will be held at 11:00am on the 25th of May following the visitation at the Funeral Home. Pastor Steve Amorin officiating. Interment will follow at the Delmer Cemetery. A lunch will follow at The First Baptist Church of Tillsonburg at 1:00pm.
